Beothuk
The Beothuk were one of the historical native peoples in Canada. They were a small group of people lived on the island of Newfoundland in the 15th and 16th centuries. With the 1829 death of Shanawdithit, a woman who was the last known living Beothuk, the people became officially extinct.
